'Blue Sky Systems blew the competition out of the water'

With more than 20,000 students across five campuses in three London boroughs, NCC is a force to be reckoned with.  In order to give students easy access to learning applications and online education resources, NCC wanted to take advantage of VDI tech.

Benjamin Franklin once said 'an investment in knowledge pays the best interest'.  New City College London wanted to invest in it's students and partnered with Blue Sky Systems to roll out a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solution, running on high performance Lenovo servers, giving students rapid reliable access to learning tools.

William Wager, Senior Network Manager says; "VDI was a very attractive prospect for several reasons.  One, our desktop environment had just reached end of life and needed replacing.  Two, it represented a much better return on investment than simply refreshing our existing desktops, and three, being able to update a single image and roll it out across connected clients would massively simplify PC Management"

NCC chose to partner with Blue Sky Systems due to their years experience in the education sector plus the fact that they were already Lenovo Business Partners and members of the Lenovo Service Provider Program.  We proposed a 'VDI-as-a-service' offering which 'blew the competition out of the water'.

"Speaking to the Blue Sky Systems team about their proposal, it soon became clear that they really knew their stuff.  There was no hard sell; instead the team worked with us to find a solution that genuinely met our needs"
