Blue Sky Systems are looking for an enthusiastic self motivated individual to join the support team. The role will involve covering 1st and 2nd line calls along with some data migration and system administration activities. The candidate must have at least 3 years experience in an IT support role.Blue Sky Systems are a pioneering company in the cloud hosted industry bringing a unique approach to systems and customer support. This fantastic opportunity will be working from home with a requirement to attend the office in Weybridge on an occasional basis, along with travel to customer locations throughout England as required.
The candidate must show a sound working knowledge in the following technologies:
- Active directory user administration.
- Group policy administration.
- Exchange user and mailbox administration.
- Troubleshooting user and connectivity issues.
- Server administration.
- Robocopy for copying data.
- IP Addressing, Switching and Routing.
- Firewall administration and log review.
- Backup system administration and monitoring.
Professional qualifications to back up this knowledge would be an advantage.
The candidate should also have:
- Professional, clear and friendly telephone manner.
- Experience working with support ticketing systems, including keeping clear records of the actions taken to resolve support requests.
- Full Clean UK Driving license.
- Access to a vehicle for work journeys.
- Self motivated to maintain high levels of customer service.
- A willingness to learn new technologies and work as part of a distributed team.
Knowledge and experience with the following technologies would also be advantageous:
- VMware vSphere administration (vCenter and ESXi 5.5).
- VMware View VDI.
- Basic understanding of SANs.
- Experience of datacentre working environments.
We are offering a salary of between £27,000 and £32,000 per Annum depending upon experience. We will also provide a paid for home internet connection and either a thin client or contribution to the use of your own desktop at home.
